Happy Birthday to our 4 year-old Son. Austin (aka Dash) loves all things associated with super heroes. I can't quite tell if he is actually convinced he is a real super hero or if he just likes to pretend all the time. His favorite color continues to be blue and for his birthday cake, he had strawberry cupcakes died blue with little faces of Diego on top.
Austin loves to jump on the trampoline, ride his blue bike, swim, and play with Legos. He really likes building all sorts of robots, cars, helicopters, and rocket ships. Being the older brother gives Austin lots of opportunities to be a special helper to mom and to be kind and charitable towards Livi. Austin really is a kind, sensitive person. We feel so blessed to have him in our family.
Words of wisdom from a 4 year old:
"You can only have one red light food (that's a treat) a day. . . unless mommy is in the shower and not watching, then you can have as many as you want." (June 2010)
After mom told Austin she would not buy a periscope from the zoo, he stopped asking. That is until his Grandma Lulu came into town. . .
Austin: "Lulu, will you buy me this periscope?"
Lulu: "Well, we need to ask your mom first."
Austin: "We don't need to ask mother, your smarter than she is so we don't need to ask her."
