October Has Passed

October went by quickly. Nathan started the month off with an interview at the University of Rochester. The interview went well and he also got to visit Palmyra, New York for the first time. It was a quick trip, but was both educational and spiritual with a very nice time in the Sacred Grove. He has since had interviews at Ohio State, Medical College of Wisconsin, and University of Buffalo. There are not many ophthalmology programs in the west, so these have been the first of many trips to the east.

Allison crossed from 1st to 2nd trimesters and also had a great time watching her cousins in Redmond and visiting with friends and family back in Washington. It was nice to not get rear-ended while in Washington this time. She has also been entertaining various friends and family members as they have passed through Boise. She is now at 17 weeks.

Austin has been growing up so quickly. He progressed from a Chicken last year to a Dragon this year for Halloween. He got to go Trunk-or Treating with Nathan on Saturday night and on Halloween went Trick-or-Treating with Allie and Katie. He quickly learned to take candy from strangers and seemed to enjoy it. He also finally got to stay outside while Nathan mowed the lawn. This made him happy since he likes to do everything his dad does. This includes wearing his dad's glasses that he bent up. Finally, he is getting very good at his animal sounds and actions even while balancing on the vases he is not supposed to play with (the clip is sideways but worthwhile).

So cute! You seriously have to keep this updated! It is so fun to see pictures and hear how everything is going! Austin is looking so grown up and so much like Nathan! We look forward to seeing Nathan in December and wish we could see the whole family but the blog will have to do for now.
